Project 1 : Creative Approach – Assessing Daylight & Thermal Comfort at Modern Houses
In this assignment, I was required to work in a group where we had to assess the daylighting and thermal comfort of a specific house. We had to then identify the issues concerning those area and strategize passive design approaches to them. The ideas were then compiled into an A1 digital poster including background information of the house. We also had the chance to experiment with 3D modelling applications and various applications to measure the daylighting and wind.

About the module
The modules teaches the environmental conditions and challenges that architects have to consider into consideration. It focuses on how human activity influences the environment and how buildings interact with the natural system. We are introduced to the fundamental building design, passive design advocacy, and using nature into building design to improve building energy efficiency. The aim of the module is so that the students as future architects design comfortable, environmentally responsible buildings.
Project 2 : Case Study – Green Buildings in Malaysia
About the project :
Through this assignment I managed to learn about the various green buildings in Malaysia as well as the many environmental strategies applied on them in order to contribute to the environment. I've also come to better understand and appreciate the practices of green architecture and how I should embrace and carry forward these strategies for the future.
Here, I was required to work with the previous group members to create an A1 size poster regarding the in-depth case study of a specific accredited green building in Malaysia. We had to pay attention and note down various information about the green building but most importantly we had to understand the environmental strategies applied to the building
