Overall view of my semester 1
During the time here of the first semester of the degree, I was exposed to 3 main architecture related modules which was Architectural Design I, Architecture History and Theory, and Design Communication. Being my first time exposed to architecture in general, it has been a transformative experience that involved a mix of excitement, challenges, and self-discovery.
Perspective on learning platform
I was introduced to the myTIMES platform which acted as the main digital platform in my learning experience. It contained many functions such as to store module information and submit assignments. It is easy to navigate and understand as well as it contains a tight security feature where the Microsoft Authenticator app is used to ensure login information every login that eases my worries on my work being stolen or going missing. I have been often using the TAYLOR'S Mobile application and Facebook which helps track my timetable and attendance as well as updates from my course. I enjoy and appreciate how different apps are used which personally eases me to ensure I do not miss out on any information as compared to if everything was combined in one application. Aside from the technological part, my lectures and tutorials have been mostly face to face. The tutorials have students spilt up into smaller groups which help ensures the tutors are able to help each an every student. Personally, I enjoy the balance of having a face to face and as well as using digital means in my education as it provides enough space and time for me to manage my studies and i do hope that the university will retain this method of delivering education.
